My Journey

Born in Korea, raised in Northern Minnesota. I am from adoption. I am from abandonment. I am from an alcoholic adoptive family. Dance and movement was a life vest, it saved me.

I am a former professional dancer turned yogi. I started my yoga practice about 20 years ago as a way to stay flexible and strong as a dancer.  Little did I know yoga would literally transform all aspects of my life. Yoga led me to  my purpose (Dharma). Yoga is my therapy. Yoga has healed me and offered me a way INTO myself in a way I never thought possible.  Sharing yoga is my passion!

As a professional dancer, I learned not only to control my body but also to respect and take care of it. Through teaching dance, I found my voice and discovering yoga allowed me to expand and fine tune my teaching skills.

I leaned on my yoga practice as my dance career was coming to a close, as it helped to ease the transition from the rigors of competitive dance. I became so fascinated about “why” yoga felt so magical, I became a student again and took my 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training with Katie Brauer at YogaSix. It was the single best thing I ever did for myself and my teaching! I truly believe to be a great teacher, one also needs to be a student. Craving more knowledge, I continued my yoga education and completed my 300 hr Hatha and Ashtanga training with Yogamea in Italy.  A 50hr Yin Yoga training with Drishti Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga to Transform Trauma training with Catherine Ashton. Most recently, I completed my 100hr Meditation Teacher Training (Tantric philosophy) at Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center in Ubud, Bali.

When you attend one of my classes I aim to create a space for you to explore your body, mind and heart in a way that is accessible and relatable with a touch of humor. My goal is always to meet you where you’re at and gently, lovingly nudge you to experience more than you thought possible.  I hope you walk out of my class AWAKENED, BRAVE and with a little more GRACE.

Over the many years of guiding people of all ages and levels, one thing rings true, the universal language of movement unites and heals. Witnessing students grow and have “ah ha” moments make me smile. Watching my friends live their passions fills me with joy. Traveling fills me with awe. A great glass of wine and a sunset can cure anything!

I am led by these words and energies
Grace - to acknowledge each moment (good or bad) with humility

Awakened - to be here now and present for it all

Brave - to step up and always move forward

words of love

“If I were to describe Tsha's teaching in two words it would be INTENTIONAL and NUANCED. Her classes are a harmonious mix of mindful movement, intelligent alignment and subtle experiential cues that create a seamless mind, body and spirit experience. I have had the pleasure of co-facilitating 200 hour yoga teacher trainings with Tsha and every group we led, I was continually impressed by her reliability, preparedness and professionalism. You can count on Tsha to genuinely show up, ready to share her gifts, providing inspiration to everyone in her presence.
